I have been involved in mental health services for over 30 years. I have worked in various settings, but the most significant amount of my early career was spent as a program director for a community mental health center that included foster care services, as well as other programs focused on strengthening youth and families, for 16 years. I then entered private practice in 2008. I enjoy getting to know my clients’ individual stories and helping them find answers within themselves. I believe that in every difficult time, there is also tremendous strength within everyone. Through finding new ways to cope with situations, adjusting how you think about and react to them, and providing some perspectives for you to consider outside your current support system, we will determine together a path that best meets your needs, and this path will create much more contentment and positive moments than you are currently experiencing. I believe every chapter of someone’s story is important, including the chapters of pain, as well as the chapters of joy. Together we will develop strategies that help you face the challenges, as well as the confidence to navigate the obstacles.
